Sunrise, Sunset

Which do you think this is?  Is it a sunrise or a sunset?

I guess it can be whichever you would like.  It's so pretty.  I CASEd Michelle Zindorf on this card.  I love using that brayer.  Such an awesome look it creates . . .

This is what I'm using as a thank-you card for recent orders.  So if you've placed an order with me recently, look in your mailbox, 'cause this is comin' your way!!
Michelle gives a wonderful step-by-step tutorial on how to do this card, so I'm not going to.  I used the Brushed Gold card stock, while she used a Sharpie for the gold on her card.

It's almost time!  We're gonna be doing the Everything Eleanor 1/2 sheet wonder class this weekend.  I can hardly wait!!
The Friday class is full, but there's still some room in the Sunday class.  Just click here for information.  And if you would like a kit-to-go, that's fine too. It's only $7.00 It's truly all about the creation, not where you do it. Just Pay Here.

Hot Tip For You

Have you ever been stampin', had several colors open, and without thinking about it, put your stamp on the wrong color?  Maybe it was hard to see what color it was?

Or maybe you're like me and do classes and sometimes the people in your class have a hard time seeing what color is in front of them or across the table from them.

I've got a solution for you when it comes to the new ink pads that Stampin' Up! has now.

On the back of the new ink pads, you will find stickers in several (ok . . . four) languages.
  1.  Peel the whole thing off.

2.  Use the one that works for you and put it on the ink pad.  I put mine on the end that will face me when I'm initially opening the ink pad so I know where to put my thumbs and PUSH.

3.   Now cut off a bit of color from one of the languages you won't be using.
4.  Put it on the other end of the ink pad.  Now everyone can see what color the ink pad is, even if it's not facing you!

5.  Cut off a bit more color from a language you won't be using . . .

6.  And put that bit of color inside the pad.  Sometimes colors of ink pads look similar when you're looking down at them.  Now you're gonna be able to tell what color it is, even if you're looking down at it!!

Easy, huh?  No more mixing it up -- with colors of ink pads anyway!

Hope this helps you.  I sure know it's gonna help me.

What Could Be Better?

Hanging out with friends and talking, creating, laughing, learning new things.

These are a few of the best things that life can offer.

I got to experience all of that with three fabulous people during the last class I had.

I had five "kits-to-go" ordered; however, my fav has got to be the in-person stuff.  There's nothing like it.  It was like a private class of sorts.  In fact, I'd say that's what it was.

What could be better?  I can't think of a thing.

Please join me in the next class, the Everything Eleanor Class coming up the first weekend in June.

The Friday class is full, but there's still some room in the Sunday class.  Just click here for information.  And if you would like a kit-to-go, that's fine too. It's only $7.00 It's truly all about the creation, not where you do it. Just Pay Here.

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day.

As a break from stamping (is there such a thing?) -- I just want to take a moment to honor those men and women who have died while serving our country and allowing us our freedoms.
As taken from the Packers Chatter website, some history on the date:

Memorial Day, which falls on the last Monday of May, commemorates the men and women who died while serving in the American military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades.

Unofficially, at least, it marks the beginning of summer.

Hope you have enjoyed your holiday ~~ thanks for stopping by.  Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

It's a Vintage Wonder

What a Wonder . . . One Sheet Wonder that is!  Actually, it's a Half Sheet Wonder at that -- LOL!

Don't you just love vintage style?  I've been working on a class I've got coming up.

Here's how to do it:

A.   Randomly stamp swirl image from the Everything Eleanor stamp set onto 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” Very Vanilla card stock with Basic Black ink. Begin stamping in the center, then rotate the stamp 1/4 turn as you stamp around the edge to get a random pattern with a bit of open space. Stamp large and small floral images with Basic Black ink in the open spaces between the swirls to complete the stamped background pattern.

B.    Follow the cutting instructions on the Half Sheet Wonder Template (that I have for the class) to create the Half Sheet Wonder pieces that will be used on the box and cards in this project.
Paper - Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Melon Mambo; Ink - Basic Black, Soft Suede, and Melon Mambo; Stamp Set - Everything Eleanor; Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Basic Pearl Jewels (large), SNAIL adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals.

These colors look so great together.  And the half sheet wonder makes everything so simple.  I can't believe how easy it all is.

This class will be the first weekend in June (comin' right up, as a matter of fact).  For more details and to sign up, click here.
