Tasty Snacks - Hand Stamped labels - Just for You

In the mood for a tasty, special snack? Well, I have just the thing right here. It's Chex Mix, Cheez-It Crackers, M&Ms plain chocolate candies, and popped up Boy Scout Popcorn all mixed together, packaged in a medium cello bag, and tied up with a pretty ribbon and label that says it's "Just For You".

Mmmmmm!

When my boys were little, and they wanted a snack, this is what I would make them (and their friends) a lot of the time. They would ask me what they were having, and I would tell them that it was a Special Snack. They began to ask for it and called it "Special Snack". Too cute. Tasty stuff.
We are doing a Harvest for Hunger "bake sale" at work (I use the term bake sale rather loosely here), and this is what I took. Only $1.00 a bag. It's for a good cause.

Want some?

I'm hoping the cute tags will up the cuteness factor and prompt more sales of the bags.

Details: Stamp set - Four Frames; Punches - Large Label, 1-3/4" circle, Large Scallop Circle, Crop-A-Dile; Paper - Whisper White, Subltes Designer Series Paper Pack, Garden Green Card Stock; Ink - Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz; Basic Pearls; Ribbon - Whisper White and Garden Green 1/4" grosgrain; SNAIL adhesive, Linen Thread.

And that's my part for charity today. Thanks for stopping by ~~ Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

A Hand Made Flower For You - or for your shawl

Are you a knitter?

Some of the ladies in our church are great knitters and crocheters. I am neither of those.

I, however, love paper crafting of any sort. So I was asked to create some Presentation Tags for our church's Prayer Shawl Ministry. This is what I have come up with so far. Each Presentation Tag will probably look a bit different . . . I've never made anything in quantity that looked exactly alike anyway.
So much fun to punch things out. The punches help you create projects in an easier and quicker fashion. Once upon a time, a person would have had to cut all these little gems out by hand. So glad it's not that way anymore.

Details: Punches - Triple Flower Punch, Blossom Punch, 2-1/2" Circle Punch; Card Stock - Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Subtle Designer Series Paper Pack; Brights Buttons; Certainly Celery 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta ribbon, Snail adhesive, Glue Dots, and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Have you ever knitted or crocheted anything or is paper crafting your love, too?

Hand Made Invitations for a Party . . . and You're Invited

Been invited anywhere lately?

I helped a wonderful friend invite a bunch of great folks for a workshop that she was having during Sale-A-Bration - which, by the way, only has this week left before it's gone for another whole year. I love to help my hostesses by making their invitations. These are the invites I helped her send out for her event.
We really made it look like a party by having these cool pennants. They are a punch, so the pennants could not be easier to make. In fact, almost this whole card is made with punches and layers.
Deatils: Punches - Large Scallop, 1-3/4" circle, Label, Pennant; Ink - Cherry Cobbler; Card Stock and Designer Series Paper - Basic Black, Pacific Point, Timeless Portrait DSP; Neutrals DSP Paper Pack; Snail Adhesive; Stamps - Party Time.

Hope you got to party a little bit this weekend! Thanks for stopping by ~~ Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

Whenever I look at this cute basket, I keep thinking, "A tisket, a tasket . . . "
Did you say that little rhyme when you were a child?

Everything about this fun project makes me think spring! It was so much fun to create these great 3-D flowers and weaving them into the handle of the basket.

I think it's a cheery, glittery detail that is perfect for any springtime occasion.

Just Because - DSP Cupcake Box - Stampin' Up Style

Had to share the little box that we made last weekend together.

We had a great time making these little "2-4-6-8" boxes. They are called that because that is where you score the 6" x 8-1/2" paper, along the 8-1/2" side. You are left with a 1/2" section to place your adhesive. Be sure to score along the 6" side 2" only on one side. Just fold all the edges, use some adhesive, and you have the makings of an easy-to-make gift box. Details: Stamp set - Create A Cupcake; Paper - Brights DSP pack, Certainly Celery, Whisper White; Ink - Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, VersaMark; Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon; Itty Bitty punches, Itty Bitty buttons, Create A Cupcake Punch; Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL adhesive, paper snips.

Make something fun for yourself today . . . just because. Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

Looking for a great something to give that wonderful someone? Here's a little idea for you. Tiny cards that fit inside a cellophane bag that is stapled inside this fabulous pouch. This project is one I found froma packet of things I took home from the 2010 Stampin' Up! convention and never made - until last night!

The cards are little 1-1/2" by 1-1/2". These are seriously tiny cards. Everyone will ooooooh and aaaaaah over them when they get their Just for You pouch. I made these as a thank-you for all the people who ordered last weekend at the card party. The tiny cards are made out of Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz card stock. I'll show those to you in a post coming up.

Details: Stamps - Just Believe set; Card Stock and Paper - Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White; Ink - Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, VersaMark, Peach Parfait marker, and Pear Pizzazz marker; Accessories - small Cellophane bags, Black 1-1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon, linen thread, Snail adhesive, bone folder, Mat Pack, paper piercing tool, jewelry tag punch, Word Window punch 1-1/2" circle punch, paper snips, stapler and staples.

Instructions:

1. Fold the Pear Pizzazz card stock (3-1/2" x 11") along score lines to create pouch (I scored at 4-1/2" and 9" along the 11" side). Punch hole in pouch using Word Window punch. Cut corners off small flap so the flap fits inside Wod Window hole.

2. Repeatedly stamp floral images in VersaMark ink on front of pouch. Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso ink on front of pouch.

3. Staple striped grosprain ribbon to short flap and tie in a knot.

4. Ink flower image with Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz ink and stamp on Whisper White card stock. Punch out using Jewelry Tag punch.

5. Pierce hole in tag using Mat Pack and paper-piercing tool. Thread linen thread through hole and tie around the ribbon.

6. Staple the cellophane bag inside the pouch and fill the bag with your tiny cards.

Leftovers, the Crafty Card Making Style

Ever have leftovers and don't know what to do with them?

I had a few items left from making the Staggered Mini Album yesterday, so I made this cool card. I CASEd this from CraftyPerson. So cute.

It only took things from the Country Club Simply Scrappin' Kit and Whisper White taffeta ribbon. Amazing little gem that is. Love those kits.

Stamped Staggered Mini Photo Album

This little project is BIG on style! Here's a great gift idea for Mother's Day or even just a great way to show off your favorite photos from your last vacation or your child's school year.

This is called a staggered mini album, and I got this fantastic idea from CraftyPersons.

It's just the Country Club Simply Scrappin' Kit with some ink and easy accessories . . . Presto, Bango! A new photo album that takes up a small amount of space. It's perfect to take to work and show our vacation to co-workers. It's perfect to slip into a purse or briefcase.

This little package will fit nicely on a desktop or coffee table, too. So many possibilities.

I used:

Paper - Country Club Simply Scrappin' Kit; Ink - Not Qjuite Navy and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers; Accessories - Clear-Mount Stamp Case, 3/8" Not Quite Navy and Whisper White Taffeta ribbon, Trinket Key, Mini Square Whisper White envelopes; Snail adhesive, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, 1-3/8" Square punch; Paper Snips, Paper Cutter and my trusty bone folder.

I like that my photos now have their own stylish case. It was super fast and easy to make this project with the convenient Simply Scrappin' Kit. Let me know if you would like to make one, too. I'd love to share with you.

Something Handmade and Nice for Somebody

Have you done anything special for anybody lately?

Before we know it, St. Patrick's Day will be here, and you can do something special for somebody by maknig them this awesome stationery gift box. It's even tied up with a ribbon and ready for gift giving.

See what's inside?
I used a template from CraftPersons and modified it to make it fit my needs. The original had a spot for notecards (smaller than typical cards), and gift cards (little 3x3 cards). I wanted to give a friend of mine some special cards that are created with Garden Green ink (using the Textures wheel) and the large image in black from the Just Believe stamp set.

And there's a pen made to match. She's gonna LOVE it. I can hardly wait to give it to her. Just as soon as my computer at home is working again, I'll do a video and show you how to make the box. Super easy, super quick.

Have a fabulous Friday. Thanks for stopping by ~~ Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

Bag Full 'O Goodies - Stamping Candy Fun

My co-workers are gonna LOVE getting these on their desks come St. Patrick's Day, don't you think?

I used a retired set that is Wrapping Up the Holidays or something like that and stamped the St. Patrick's day image on address labels with the Garden Green classic ink. After that, I just wrapped the address labels around the candy and put them into small cello bags. Tie it all up with a little bit of Garden Green 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, and you're all set to go.

Easy and cute. That's the way I like it!

One Little Baby Card - Another Request

So I received another request for baby cards. Yep, I was asked to make another set of baby cards, and here's what I did. I only had about 15 minutes to spare, so I used a punch, a fabulous couple of stamp sets, a bit of ribbon . . Ta-Da! I'm thinkin' that it doesn't get any better. I love the Curvy Verses stamp set because I never have to worry about lining it up "just right". It's never crooked or messed up. Perfect every time. Who wouldn't love that?
And the envelope matches, too. What a sweet treat for anyone who gets this card. They will know as soon as they pull it out of the mailbox that it's something special and unique.

Stamps - Curvy Verses, Pocket Silhouette, ink - Pacific Point; Punches - 1-1/4" square, Scallop Square; Paper - Whisper White, Pacific Point. Daffodil Delight 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Snail adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Medium Whisper White envelopes.

Remember that you are something special and unique, too. Thanks for stopping by ~~ Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

Happy Birthday Card - Gnome Style

The Gnomes are coming . . . the Gnomes are coming . . .

Actually, they are already here in a super cute stamp set from the lates Stampin' Up! mini catalog.

The fabulous stamper, Rhonda, did this card for my birthday. She took the label punch and created a smaller label. Isn't she creative and talented? I think so.

Thanks so much for the birthday card, Rhonda. I love it. You're the best!

Handmade Card WOW

What has made you say, "Wow" lately?

When I show people this adorable 3x3 card given to me by my wonderful friend, Rhonda, that's what everyone says.

Why? Not because it's got layer upon layer. Not because it's got bling that will blind you. Not because it's got embossing galore. It's the simplicity and beauty of this flower made with punched circles out of Designer Series Paper and folded. I'll have to ask Rhonda what this fold is called, but this is a fantastic example of cards that make people say, "Wow".

Thanks, Rhonda! You're the best. You make me say "Wow" all the time.

Hand-Stamped Language of Friendship

What is the Language of Friendship? Is it doing something for someone? Is it listening when no-one else will? Is it staying up all night talking and laughing together? Have you ever done any of those things?

If you have, then you know the Language of Friendship.

The Language of Friendship is also a stamp set from Stampin' Up! and it's one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that is available for FREE when a $50 order is placed. It's a wonderful little bonus. I just love FREE. Don't you?

We made this card at the last Stamper's Club in February. We are working on learning brayer techniques. The card is CASEd from Michelle Zindorf. Who else? She is the brayer queen.

Stamps - Language of Friendship, Summer Soltice; Paper - Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Old Olive; Inks and Markers - So Saffron, StazOn Black, Old Olive, Wild Wasabi, Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Basic Black; Paper Snips, Brayer, Bird Punch, Snail adhesive.

Let's practice that very important Language of Friendship today. Thanks for stopping by ~~ Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

It's a Card Request

Get any requests lately? I got one in e-mail form for a baby card.

Tried to keep it simple since it's always anyone's guess if it's a boy or girl until it's born.

I actually did an original card this time, too! Yay, me!! (LOL) What I like about this card is the paper piecing, as well as the "waves" I made with the paper on the bottom. Lots of fun.

Hope you like it, and that you're in the mood to make a request, too. I'd love to hear it, and I'll do my best to fulfill it.

Paper - Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Regal Rose, Early Espresso, Tempting Turquoise; In - Early Espresso; Stamps - Easy Events, Short and Simple (?); Punches - 1-1/4" Circle (to create those rounded edges), Scallop Edge; Paper Snips, Glue Dots, Snails, Stampin' Sponges.
