Elevate Your Handmade Cards: Kindest Expressions Stamp Set with Raised Edge Technique

Discover how to take your handmade cards to the next level!

In this tutorial, you learn to create a stunning card using the Kindest Expressions stamp set, featuring a unique raised edge technique using the Simply Scored tool. With layers of Pretty Peacock and Basic White cardstocks, along with heartfelt sentiments like "With Sympathy" and "Thanks So Much," this card design is both elegant and versatile.

  1. Measurements (in inches):
  2. Card Base - Pretty Peacock - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
  3. Basic White - 5-1/8 x 4 and 4-3/4 x 3-5/8;
  4. Basic White inside piece - 5-1/4 x 4
  5. Pretty Peacock - 5 x 3-7/8

  6. After creating the card base and adhering the inside piece as well as all the layers for your card, except the sentiment piece, use the Simply Scored tool or Paper Trimmer to score lines around the edges of the sentiment piece to create a raised effect.
  7. Stamp your sentiment, such as the "Deepest Sympathy" sentiment, onto the Basic White layer using your favorite ink color. Adhere the scored Basic White layer onto the Pretty Peacock card base using adhesive of your choice.

  8. Embellish your card with any additional decorations or accents to personalize it further.
  9. Finally, admire your beautifully crafted card, ready to convey your heartfelt sentiments to your loved ones.
