How to Make Do

How do you make do when you don't have the supplies you want/need?

I wanted to create a card using certain colors; however, when I went to collect all my supplies prior to making my card, discovered I was out of paper and couldn't find inks!  Argh!!

Never fear!  That's when you really get your craft on.
The card stock I had on hand was Night of Navy (#100867), Marina Mist (119682), and Very Vanilla (#101650).  Since I wanted to use Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant, too, but couldn't find any, darn it, I decided to ink up some embossing folders, Chevron (#127749) and Perfect Polka Dots (#117335) with Elegant Eggplant (#126969) and Wisteria Wonder (#126985) using my brayer (#102395).

Running the inked-up Embossing Folders through the Big Shot (#113439) with the Very Vanilla card stock tucked inside did the trick!  I had the colors of card stock I wanted, even though I didn't have those colors in my stash.  Yay!
After that, everything came together smoothly . . . the stamp sets used were the Petite Pairs (#128706 - wood; #122497 - clear) and Four Frames (#128589 - wood; 123442 - clear) inked up with the Elegant Eggplant and Night of Navy (#126970).

Punches used - Boho Blossoms (#119858),  Decorative Label (#120907), 1-3/4" Circle (#119850), 2-1/2" Circle (#120906), and 1" Square (#124094) - used to make the banner ends.
To add a bit of UMPH, the Silver Glimmer Paper (#124005) was added and Stamping Sponges (#101610) distressed the edges. A Candy Dot in Neutral (#130934) creates the center of the flower embellishment.
And that, my friends, is how to make do - papercrafting style!!
The Mojo Monday sketch inspired the layout.  Please be sure to check out all the other fabulous cards there.  Such a fantastic collection of talented stampers!
