Crafting Delight: DIY Custom Card & Treat Box with Thoughtful Journey DSP

 In this fun crafting journey, that promises to infuse joy into every fold and embellishment, it's time to craft some perfectly-sized boxes to cradle up to six 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 cards with envelopes.

Whether you're bestowing heartfelt wishes, packaging sweet treats, or simply adding a touch of personal flair to your gifts, these boxes have so much handmade charm. These creations will be adorned with the enchanting patterns of the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (DSP).

With this art of creating custom card and treat boxes, tailor-made to hold your heartfelt sentiments and sweet surprises, and armed with cardstock in an array of hues, a scoring tool, adhesive, and the delightful Thoughtful Journey DSP, we'll fashion these boxes with love and attention to detail.

You can add whatever finishing touches you like to your boxes – a flourish of ribbon here, a sprinkle of sequins there – I simply enjoy the SIP (Stamps, Ink, Paper) quality of the ones I've created so far. This DSP is decoration enough in my book!

 Welcome! Today, I'm excited to share a tutorial on creating a charming handmade greeting card that's perfect for spreading joy to your loved ones. Whether you're an experienced crafter or just starting out, this project is sure to inspire your creativity.

Begin by selecting your desired cardstock and cutting it to the preferred size. I recommend standard card sizes such as A2 (4-1/4 x 5-1/2). The Country Lace Designer Series Paper (DSP) is cut into four panels for this card. You can mix and match patterns for a playful look or keep them uniform for a more polished aesthetic.

Run your second layer through the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder to add texture and dimension.

Assemble your card layers.

2nd layer of Basic White (embossed) 4 x 5-1/4

DSP four of them - 3 x 1

Basic White for adhering the DSP - 3-1/8 x 4-1/2

Stamp your chosen sentiment ("Hello" from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set) onto one of the DSP panels using coordinating ink - I used Memento Tuxedo Black.

Stamp the adorable critter from the Hearts & Hugs stamp set onto a scrap piece of DSP and use the coordinating die cuts to cut it out.

Add any additional embellishments or decorations to personalize your card further.

Finally, step back and admire your handiwork! You've just created a beautiful handmade card that's ready to brighten someone's day.
