Use A Little Gold - AAA Cards

What are you doing to celebrate the new year?

At AAA Card Challenge, we're using a little gold ...
Using the Wondrous Wreath stamp set  with gold foil
card stock, whisper White, some gold embossing powder,
and some gold glitter - whew!  There's fun gold all over the place!

This is a fun 6 x 6 card with "celebrate" from the Good Greetings stamp set
stamped in the bottom corner in Soft Suede
all ready to give to our friends (along with a bottle of bubbly)
at their wondrous New Year's Eve bash!
So use a little gold this week and post your creation at AAA Cards!  We can't wait to see!

Christmas Cards Galore!

Like everyone's - the last two weeks have been
crazy busy for me!  Between full-time work and teaching
card classes three nights out of the seven both weeks,
I've been more than a little busy!!
A Cherry Cobbler and Silver Glimmer Paper Card
Love it, though, and wouldn't trade the time
I get to spend with my gal pal-crafting friends for anything.
Love this bear card using the White Christmas and Holiday Home sets
Just a few of the cards I've been sending out myself here . . .
My favorite winter birthday card so far ~
I managed to make and send out 176 holiday-Christmas
cards this year!  It's a new record for me.

Hope you have a wonderful day - thanks so much for
stopping by and sharing a moment or two with me.

Everything Eleanor Sympathy

One of my favorite people died this week - my 88-year-old Uncle Jim.
So my hubby and I went to the visiting hours this evening.  We got there
just as the visitation time began and at that point the line
was already out the door
of the funeral home.  Yep, he was that kind of a guy.
 I'm obviously not
the only person who was crazy about him.
I tried to visit/communicate with him with some regularity.
He had a beautiful farm, and I went out to visit him and
showed pictures of some of this gorgeous gardens in this post.

I helped him take his first selfie this summer during one of my visits:
So the reason I have green in his sympathy card for my
cousins is because of his mad gardening skills.  The flourish
is on the card because he was one elegant dude.  He was a
successful interior designer who just loved a touch of elegance
in everything he did.

Another inspiration for the card is from the Freshly Made Sketches
challenge with their fabulous sketch this week:
Give an extra hug or two to those you love today!

Thanks Letterpress Winter

Got lots of thank-you notes to send out?
I feel like I'm always behind on those.
Time to make a "thanks" card using the Letterpress
Winter stamp set for me!

With the fun sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!,

as well as the super yummy colors from the Pals Paper Arts Challenge,

some thank-you notes were created quickly!!  Yay!
I was glad to break out the Letterpress Winter stamp set - it's sooooo pretty.
The sentiment is from the Another Thank You stamp set.

Hope you get a chance to break out a stamp set you haven't
used much and have a creative day!  ~~Thanks for stopping by~~

Easy Does It - Santa Stache

Getting into the Holiday Card season in an easy
way with this fun sketch and go-to stamp set, Santa Stache.
I found this sketch at the As You See It Challenge:
AYSIChallenge064
And since I'd been trying to figure out a good way to
use this stamp set, everything just clicked!

Some of the other goodies I used:
Stamp set - Good Greetings, A Fitting Occasion
Card Stock - Naturals Ivory, Brushed Gold, Chocolate Chip, and Trim The Tree Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink - Memento, and Gold Encore
Stampin' Blendabilities in Cherry Cobbler and Skin Tone Assortment
Dazzling Details, and Stampin' Chalk Marker
Champagne Glimmer Paper, Star Framelits, Oval Framelits, Paper Snips (scissors) and Stampin' Sponges

Whew!  Sounds like a lot of supplies -
I'll tell you though ~ this card came together in a snap!

Tip - when coloring with alcohol markers,
use a piece of wax paper under your art piece.
It will keep the ink from getting onto your work surface
and prevent damage to your work surface.
