Unleash Your Creativity: Card Making and Stamping Ideas, Especially for Beginners

Sometimes it can be a challenge to come up with a card making idea.  It's especially difficult when you're just beginning.  It can also be overwhelming when there are so many choices in stamping supplies.

You know what?  It really comes down to Stamps, Ink, and Paper - something I like to call SIP!  Truly, all card making boils down to SIP.  With some some stamps, some ink, and some paper, you can get busy.

I made these three cards with only SIP.

And I did them three separate ways.

The first card is the most basic
with only one layer of Early Espresso on the Crumb Cake card base.  The image was stamped three times.  Then the sentiment was stamped onto the base with an artistic stamp across the Early Espresso layer.

The second card steps things up a bit (still sticking to the SIP concept of Stamps, Ink, and Paper though) and has a fun addition of background element behind the large main stamped image.
Finally, the last card is stepped up further with the addition of more layers.  Layers are an easy way to make a card seem like it's fancier when you don't have much on hand.

Such fun cards and using only the Neutrals palette as well.

Getting Ready for January Classes and Thank Yous

At the beginning of the month, I am finishing up my class schedule(s) and finalizing what will be provided as a "perk" for placing orders with me as a demonstrator.  This month of January is no exception to that, and I've been working like crazy to have all the card guts ready to send out as my thank yous for the orders as well as the class supplies ready for sending to the attendees.

I tend to have a mess of papers all over my desk while I'm creating, but as soon as I'm done, I try to clean everything up so I can find it easily the next time I want to use it.

Are you a messy desk person or a tidy desk person?

When you place an order using me as your demonstrator that is $25 or more, I will send you the "guts" for four cards!  You simply need to use your own ink, stamps, and adhesive, and you will have four cards ready to send out in no time at all!  Here are the cards that I created using the "guts".  I also provide a private YouTube link where I share how I created each card to help walk you through the process.

If your order is less than $150, please be sure to use the Host Code of N9KUF2UA.

Thank you, thank you for stopping by today.  It means so much to me.
Hope you have a fabulous day and take the time to get inky!

You Mean So Much to So Many

Thank-you cards are very needed after the holidays, and I created this one to give to my parents.

They are amazing people who do so much for so many every day, even up to their late 80s.  I hope I'm able to be as active as they are when I'm their age.

The last couple of cards, I've been doing heat embossing, which is pretty awesome since it creates a "raised" image that people love to touch.  It's truly lovely.

I have a short on YouTube for this card and it's right here - please be sure to like the video and subscribe to the channel while you're there:
And below is a list of the supplies used to create the card.  Please be sure to use the Host Code N9KUF2UA if you make a purchase of less than $150 - and Sale-A-Bration is happening right now so it's the perfect time to make that purchase you've been wanting!  My online store is linked here.

Hope you have a fabulous day.  Thanks for stopping by - and take a few minutes to get inky!

Enduring Beauty Masking Technique

I love using masks for paper crafting!  They are easy to use and really can pack a punch on a project - making it unique and polished in no time at all.  It's simply a matter of knowing how to use them.

That's what today's post is about.

I used the Enduring Beauty masks, along with the coordinating stamp set and dies to create this beautiful card to send out for various birthdays being celebrated in January.

I CASEd the card from the newest seasonal January - April 2024 catalog of Stampin' Up!'s.  It's sweet and easy.

The video, posted on my YouTube channel is right here - and please hit subscribe while you're at the channel!  I really appreciate it.

All the supplies used for the card are listed below, except for the Enduring Beauty items (I will update the list when the Enduring Beauty items are available).

Thanks for stopping by - have an inky day!
