Leadership Make and Takes - Part 1

This little Make & Take is called the Lucky Limeade Thanks Card. I learned a new technique of snipping the petals on the stamped flowers to add dimension. I also snipped the middle red "flower" part to add dimension and make the circle look like part of the flower.

This is a very beautiful and ornate card that would be best, in my opinion, to hand to someone. You could mail it; however, it would take more postage and you may have to ask to have it hand stamped by the Postal Service, which never seems to be a big hit with the postal workers in the Post Office by my house.

As a lot of people know, Stampin' Up! supports Ronald McDonald House Charities and gives them thousands of dollars every year. This Daffodil Delight Thanks Card is one where we made two of them at Leadership and then put one of the cards in a box that was marked to go to the Ronald McDonald House, probably in the local area - I'm not sure.

Such a pretty and cheerful card. It's fun and easy to make. We used the Scallop Edge Punch to create a Poppy Parade rickrack to put on the card. This is going to be a great technique to teach my customers.

Leadership Conference in San Antonio - Make 'N' Takes

Can you see how hard Bev and I are concentrating here? We were working hard to get all our cards and the scrapbook page done. We had been to the Make and Take earlier in the day and then returned in the evening when we figured there would be room to finish making them. It's fun to do these projects with Bev. She is the friendliest person I know and makes friends everywhere she goes. I feel so lucky to count myself as one of those friends of hers! One of the friends Bev made at Leadership (a Make and Take helper) took this picture of us and sent it to Bev. Thank you both so much for sharing the pic with me. What a great memory!!

The projects at Stampin' Up! events are always fantastic. If I don't make them at the event, I may not finish them. You know how it is -- we all get busy in our everyday lives and the projects get pushed to the back burner, never to resurface.

I was determined to keep that from happening this year. Over the next few days, I'll share the projects that we made during the Make and Take at Leadership and then the Regional that was immediately following. I can hardly wait to share these and make them with my workshops, parties, and clubs.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

Create & Keep Simply Sent Card Kit with the last two cards

Okay. Here are the last of the cards I made for Bev, the best roomie at Leadership, ever!

These are Calypso Coral with a printed background. I really like the simplicity of the dotted circles. As you can see, I made one of them a Happy Birthday card while the other is an all-occasion card.

I hope you enjoyed these cards. I enjoyed sharing them with you. Hopefully, you have some ideas of cards that you can make with this great Create and Keep Simply Sent Card Kit. I was able to make all these cards and the box for them in less than an hour. It's a time saver and great present.

What time saver do you just love?

Oh my!! These cards are so nice and bright. A perfectly cheery card for a drab and dreary winter day.

Bev liked all the cards I gave her and these are two more.

Sticky Strip . . . A Crafter's/Stamper's Must-Have Item!

So . . . in keeping with my theme, here are two more of the cards that I made with the Create & Keep Simply Sent Kit for Bev at Leadership.

These cards have a very nice pattern on this Baja Breeze card. There are two of all these colors. So far you've seen the brown, green and today it is time for the blue!

Even the cool card box has a pattern on it. And when it comes to creating 3-D projects like boxes, using the right adhesive makes all the difference. My fave is the Sticky Strip. I think it's the ideal adhesive to keep all your boxes together and all your 3-D card projects working no matter how many times they are enjoyed.

Sticky Strip is basically super-string double-sided tape that is designed to make assembling durable 3-D project neat and easy. In addition to keeping 3-D projects together you’ll find that Sticky Strip can also be used for some fun techniques like adding glitter and even heat embossed stripes! I think it's one must-have supply item for any stamper or crafter.

What is your must-have supply item? Thanks for stopping by.

Create & Keep Simply Sent Card Kit

I made all of these projects with only the kit and a bit of Sticky Strip to assemble the box. I made all of these cards and this great box to give to my fabulous roomie Bev at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference this last week. She really liked it. I wanted to give her something she could show her customers that maybe she hadn't done yet. I scored with this little baby because she hadn't purchased the kit or showed it off to anyone yet! Yay!!
If you like to craft, but don’t have a lot of time, this Create & Keep Simply Sent Card Kit is the perfect solution! Each kit has ten pre-cut, printed, and scored cards, two 12” x 12” sheets of self-adhesive die cuts, and a die cut box that comes with dividers.
See those cool dividers?

Some of my busiest customers swear by the convenience of Simply Sent Card Kits. I use them all the time myself! Take just a second now to order your Create & Keep Simply Sent Card Kit or one of the other great Simply Sent kits, and you’ll be on your way to quick and easy cards that fit into your busy lifestyle!
Here is what the box of cards looked like when I was done. Over the next few days, I'll show you the cards that I put inside using this really great and easy kit. That's all I used to make these cards . . . the kit and some sticky strip. You may want to use a bit of Tombow Adhesive, but otherwise, that was it! You can also bling up the cards with Brads, ribbon, and jewels if you want. I kept things simple.

What have you done lately that fit into your busy life? I'm sure there's something you enjoy that fits nicely into your busy, crazy life! I would love to hear about it.

Stampin' Up! Leadership 2012

Here is a picture of Bev, Monica, and myself in front of the "My Way" sign here at Leadership in San Antonio, Texas.

This is a picture of my roomie that I found on the Stampin' Up! Facebook photo album from Leadership. Bev had no idea this picture was on there! This was on day one and she had no idea that anyone was even taking the picture. Isn't she a hoot? I was scrolling through the Facebook pics and found this. What fun to surprise her like that! Love it.

And I have loved Leadership. It was so much fun. I can hardly wait for next year's!! I'm so glad to be roomies with Bev. She's one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world.

Three Cards, a Matchbox Valentine and Stampin' Up! Leadership

So . . . here are all four of the projects for the Valentine's classes. Aren't they cute? I really enjoyed making them -- you're going to, too!!

Here's a little closer look. They are easy to make and will take about two and a half hours (taking into account that we always like to have lots of social time while we stamp and create)!

I've been in San Antonio, Texas, this week enjoying the nice weather (I guess we've had near blizzards in northern Ohio) and classes about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I attended three classes today and one of them was led by a fellow demonstrator who has done some amazing things this year. Her name is Patsy Waggoner. She has a lot of things that she does for her demonstrators who have signed up with her and also for her customers. I think I'd like to implement some of the things that she does. I wrote notes on it, and I'm gonna give it a whirl.

All in all, it's been a very educational day.

Have you learned anything new today? Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

A Little Bit of Love

I love this project! It's a little matchbox that contains some great candy and wonderful Valentine Day message -- just right for your friend, child, sweetie, or whoever you think deserves this little bit of LOVE from you!!

See the nice surprise inside? More candy. And it's easy to get out -- no destroying this matchbook.

Here's a good side view, so you can see how it's together like the old-fashioned matchbooks used to be . We still use these at church when we're trying to light the candles on the altar. They have the matches inside . . . you know what I mean.

Anyway -- I've been enjoying sharing these projects with you. I'm really hoping you come to the classes for the Valentine's Day that are the last weekend in January and the first weekend in February. There are lots of times and dates to choose -- so choose one and let's make these fun projects together.

Who deserves a little bit of LOVE from you?

Loving that candy!

There's so much ribbon on this great card! What a fun card to make is to make. It's got a little bit of everything . . . ribbon (did I already mention that?), punching, wheels -- and of course one of the most important things of all -- CANDY! I love my candy.

And on this card, you don't have to mess it up to get that tasty candy out of there! That's right. On these cards, you will be able to get the candy out of it with a super cool slider on the back.

I can't wait to show you how to make these!

Please be sure to sign up for the classes that are during the last weekend of January and the beginning of February.

Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'! Thanks for stopping by

Free Wheelin'!

I tend to use the Stampin' Around Wheel a lot. These wheels give so many options to a card and super quickly, too!

These cards used the large heart punch with the Sweet Treats Heart Cup. These cups are great for fun cards. My boys really like it when I make them cards with these. They say the only problem is that the card is ruined when they get the candy out.
Not this year! I made these cards so they can easily get the candy out and keep the card lookin' super cool and awesome. These are a keeper. Anyone who gets these is going to oooh and awww over them!

Come join the class and do some Free Wheelin' of your own!

Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'! Thanks for stopping by.

Could You Use a Pick-Me-Up?

Well, if you could, this little card will do it for you!
Isn't this just awesome? This is one of the cards that I will show you how to make at the Sweet Centers Card Treats classes being held on the last weekend of January and the first weekend of February. We're getting ready to have a really sweet time, don't you think?

We're going to use the Sweet Centers Stamp Set and the 1-3/4" circle punch a lot with the cards in this class.

Hope to see you there! Has anything lifted you up lately?
Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!
