Everything Eleanor Sympathy

One of my favorite people died this week - my 88-year-old Uncle Jim.
So my hubby and I went to the visiting hours this evening.  We got there
just as the visitation time began and at that point the line
was already out the door
of the funeral home.  Yep, he was that kind of a guy.
 I'm obviously not
the only person who was crazy about him.
I tried to visit/communicate with him with some regularity.
He had a beautiful farm, and I went out to visit him and
showed pictures of some of this gorgeous gardens in this post.

I helped him take his first selfie this summer during one of my visits:
So the reason I have green in his sympathy card for my
cousins is because of his mad gardening skills.  The flourish
is on the card because he was one elegant dude.  He was a
successful interior designer who just loved a touch of elegance
in everything he did.

Another inspiration for the card is from the Freshly Made Sketches
challenge with their fabulous sketch this week:
Give an extra hug or two to those you love today!

  1. So sorry to hear about your uncle, but what a great tribute to him that the elements in your card were used in reference to his life and personality! He looks like he was one, special man! Great card too! Hazel x
