Flourishes for Paper Players

I worked on techniques last night and got super inky.
Just two large post-it notes, a sponge, card stock, some ink and stamps.
Oh yeah, I used an embossing folder, too.
Can you see the embossing folder that I used as a background stamp
in the Crushed Curry color?  I didn't have a background stamp that was large
enough, so I just inked up the embossing folder and laid it on my card stock.
Of course, I also made sure to decorate the inside of the card.
This is going straight to my Chemo Angel today.  I really want to send
good thoughts her way.
I'm entering The Paper Players Challenge with this.
By the way, we have a fabulous challenge going on at AAA Cards.

What I used:
Inks - So Saffron; Daffodil Delight (#126944); Crushed Curry (#131173); Pumpkin Pie (#126945); Rose Red; Rich Razzleberry (#115658); Black StazOn
Stamp Sets - Too Kind (#130447); Flowering Flourishes (#126367)
Card Stock - Whisper White (#100730); Basic Black (#121045)
Embossing Folder - Modern Mosaic (#129984)
Stampin' Sponges (#101610)

Thanks for stopping by ~~ Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!

  1. Love the way the black pops against the colours.

  2. Thanks, Jane! I re-inked my StazOn pad before I inked the stamp. It was super juicy and created a great image.

  4. I always forget to use an embossing folder that way! Thanks for reminding me. :-) I love the colors, they are fabulous with the bold, black, graphic element. I know you put lots of love into this card and I am sure your Chemo Angel will love it

  5. So pretty, Julia! I really love how you masked and then sponged and used your embossing folder, and you main image stamped right on top. Simple and beautiful! Thanks for playing along with us this week at The Paper Players!
