Super Cool Cards and Holder - Online Order for August Thank Yous

These are what I gave away for the month of August as a thank you to anyone who placed an on-line order with me.
There is lots of detail on these great card folders and cards that coordinate.
 There were matching envelopes, too.
There were nice little details on the cards - like brads or rhinestone jewels.
I did them in two different styles/colors.  One had International Bazaar Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the other had Comfort Cafe DSP.
Our younger son helped me do a video tutorial of how to make these folders and cards using the Comfort Cafe style.  I really like how the Stippled Blossoms stamp set echoes the design in the DSP. It's a great two-step stamp set.
I CASEd this great idea from Laurie Zoellmer.
What I used:
Papers - International Bazaar and Comfort Care DSP; Card Stock - Pacific Point, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla Lucky Limeade, Midnight Muse, Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, Summer Starfruit, and Daffodil Delight; Simply Scored tool; Floral Frames Framelits, Fancy Fan embossing Folder, Adorning Accents Edgelits die, Big Shot; Adhesive - Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL, glue dots; Vintage Facet Button, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Bold Brights brads; Stamp Set - Stippled Blossoms; Ink - Pool Party, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Always Artichoke, Midnight Muse, Soft Suede.

Be sure to check back tomorrow because I've got the video for how to make these all uploaded and ready for you.

So on Friday night, my torn rotator cuff was hurting so much, I took two pills of the pain medication I'm prescribed.  I've only ever taken one at a time so far, but it doesn't really help.  I read the pain med container, and it said I could take up to two of the pills . . . so I did.  BIG mistake!!!  Whoa!  The next day (Saturday), I was soooooo incredibly sick.  I couldn't stand up because I would pass out.  I could hardly move because I thought I was going to throw up.  I'm not gonna take two of those babies again, I'll tell you that!  What a waste of a day!  I didn't get the things I wanted to do done.  I had every single side effect known with that medicine.  Yuck!
I finally began to feel a little better around 5:00 p.m. that evening.  I felt like I had been cheated out of my Saturday!!  Aaargh!

Oh well, enough of the rant.  I feel better now that I got that complaint off my chest.
Our older son had his first day of college today.  He said it was a million times better than high school.  Okay . . . I think it must have been pretty good.

Such a long post today . . . I had a lot of pics to share with you.  Remember to stop by for the video tomorrow.

  1. Hey Julia, first of all I am glad you are alright. Scarey huh? Glad you didn't OD! Maybe two pills would be okay for a 400 lb man but not little you. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. I am feeling better. I hope you are too. These cards are so darling so I will check back for the video. Miss you girlfriend. Hugs, Bev
