Ferries, Canada, and Cards

We have been looking forward to traveling to Leamington, Canada, for a couple of months now.  We took the ferry from Sandusky, Ohio, to Pelee Island and then on to Leamington.

Here's the ferry on Pelee Island that will take us to Leamington.  That thing was about 50 minutes late!  Amazingly, the one from Sandusky was on time to Pelee Island.  We thought we didn't have much time, though, between ferries, so we got a bite to eat and then began to wait for our ferry to take us to Leamington.  It was only supposed to be a little under an hour wait.  Still better than the train -- that's what we kept saying to each other.

Some of the kids on the ferry were an absolute hoot!  There was this beautiful little girl who kept singing the alphabet song, but never got past "H".  She would just take a deep breath and start over.  So cute!!  You would think it would be annoying, but she was just so darn sweet, that it didn't get on the nerves at all.
The sunset while we were on the ferry was so beautiful.  Overall, it was such a gorgeous day for traveling.  We really enjoyed the weather.  We landed in Leamington around 11:00 p.m. and then there was the walk.  Okay . . . I should have insisted that we bring our car.  I thought a little over a mile would be a quick walk.  At 11:30 in the evening, in a strange place, a walk a little over a mile is a bit un-nerving.  However -- we made it!!!  Yay!  Now to enjoy the day.  Meanwhile, here're a couple of cards I did yesterday . . .

What a great, clean and simple card.  Rich Razzleberry was used to stamp the sentiment from the Word For You stamp set.  I think I've already posted that stamp set three times!!  Love that sentiment set because it's so incredibly versatile.
The flower outline (from the Raining Flowers stamp set) were stamped full strength with Rich Razzelberry, Baja Breeze and Tangerine Tango for the outside image and then stamped off once to make the ink less intense for the inside image of the two-step stamping of this flower.  Silly me -- I thought this was something that was pretty common knowledge, yet when I was showing this card to my mom, she asked how many colors of ink I had used.  When I told her only three, she wanted to know why it was lighter and darker.  Great trick to use and makes the ink more versatile and a better value.
Gotta have that bling!!  A few Basic Rhinestone Jewels in the middle of the flower finishes them off nicely.
The embossing was done with the Big Shot and the Embossing folders Adorning Accents.  People always run their fingers over those and are amazed with that detail.  The envelope was done to match.  Sweet!!
A thank-you card and baby card.  I left these with my mom to thank her for letting us use their cottage this week during our vacation.
What I used:  Raining Flowers and A Word For You stamp sets, Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango inks, Adorning Accents embossing folder, Big Shot, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Whisper White Card Stock, 1-1/4" Circle Punch.
