Create a Gift For Someone Special - Like the Hostess of Marlborough House

Yesterday, we went exploring all over this part of Leamington, Ontario, Canada.  The day began with so much lightning and thunder, nasty hard rain that we thought the whole day was going to be a wash!!  We are seasoned travelers, though, so no matter . . . we set off to explore - the wet weather was nothing to us.  Our wonderful hosts at the Bed and Breakfast where we are (Marlborough House) lent us a car - bless them - and we took it down to explore Point Pelee National Park.  First stop was the Marsh Boardwalk.
How fantastic it was.  The rain stopped right before we got there, and the sun began to shine.
There's such a mix of plants there, birds, and frogs.  So cool to hear the green frogs with their broken banjo string sound.  One bird decided we were a threat (we weren't -- we were just casually strolling the boardwalk) and began to swoop mighty close to our younger son's head, and then began to work on my hubby's head - over and over again until we hurried quickly on our way.

We went to the southernmost point of mainland Canada, too.  By then the day had become clear and hot.  Great vacation weather.
Lots of good places to eat in Leamington.  It's been a great spot to visit.  If you have a chance to come this way, I would, without a doubt, recommend the Marlborough House.  It's fantastic.

I made a little something for our hostess of the Bed and Breakfast.
It's a little card purse with a set of cards with matching envelopes.  I used the Betsy's Blossoms and Friendly Phrases stamp sets, Regal Rose, Tangerine Tango, and Baja Breeze inks.  The Designer Series Paper is Floral District and the card stock colors are Daffodil Delight, Regal Rose, and Whisper White.
These cards are so easy and quick.  I just love doing these.  The embossing folder and Big Shot help with the dry embossing to add a bit of something "extra" to the card.
The 1-1/4" punch was used to punch out the flowers and the Basic Rhinestone Jewels are the centers.  I forgot the 1-3/4" punch for the bird on the card purse, so I cut it by hand.  Not too bad, eh?  The large scallop punch is from Daffodil Delight.  I sure hope she likes it and can use the cards.
We've enjoyed our little stay here, and it's been wonderful how friendly everyone is.  Wish we had more time.  We've got to head back to the U.S. for the 4th of July celebrations.
