Congrats . . . Cheers (Way to Go)

Whoo Hoo!!  It's Official!  He truly graduated last night!!
Our older child is now through with the high school thing and is on to college, work, and all that fun kind of stuff.  We're so proud of him.
See?  He even walked across the stage to get that diploma, which wasn't a diploma at all.  It was a rolled up sheet of paper that said congratulations on it from the High School.  They got their diplomas afterward in the lobby.  There were over 300 in his class, so it was a packed place.  How exciting is that?  A new chapter begins.
With all of the kids we know graudating from high school, we are in need of some cards to give 'em, along with their presents.  I whipped up this card this morning using the Patio Party Designer Series Paper.  It just screamed "party" to me.  A party of card stock colors match it, too (Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, and Summer Starfruit).  Whatcha think?  The stamp is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.  This card will be great for a guy or a gal.

And what a simple design to make -- everything is either Designer Series paper or card stock.  The circular layers are all punched, making life quick and easy.  The 1-1/4 Circle Plunch is the smaller one, and the 1-3/8" Circle Punch was used for the larger circle.

The new In-Colors Midnight Muse was used as the ink for this "Cheery" stamp.  The bottom rectangular layers of Summer Starfruit are 3-1/8" x 1-5/8".  The top layers for the rectangular pieces are 3" x 1-1/2".  See what I mean?  What an easy and fun card.

And check out that ink -- it was my first time really using the new formulation of the ink pad.  Great color, the ink went on the stamp evenly and easily.  The ink did not dry as quickly as I'm used to with the old formulation ~ BUT, the ink didn't smear, even if it wasn't dry as quickly.  Great improvement all around, I say.  What do you think about the new ink pads?
